DIG Dr. Akash Nag of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), withdraws
from investigation of the Kolkata R G Kar medic murder case after Supreme Court
orders to replace him, in confession with the fact that the case has been manipulative
under political pressure and social influence of West Bengal. In his withdrawal
letter he clearly states that the PG trainee doctor was pre-planningly murdered
by four other on-duty intern doctors which was carried out under observation of
influential political individuals. Dr. Nag further mentions that CBI has been
facing constant obstacles hindering the investigation team to take the case
forward; the constant interference of political and social bodies of the state
inhibits the fair investigation system. Hence, for the sake of fair justice to the
crime and performing according to the order of the Supreme Court, DIG Dr. Nag withdraws
from the investigation.
